Project: Contextual Architecture Study

In this project, we decided to select a building in Asia to investigate the contemporary contextual architecture practices and issues in Asia through the observation and research. I have select S11 House in Petaling Jaya as my case study and we need to conduct literature review on its vernacular architecture reference attributes that can be found in the culture, construction, structure, layout and others based on the selected building. We also have to identify the contextual architecture elements of the building and through all the findings that obtained, we need to perform into a presentation board based on the analysis of the building. Through this project, I have learnt that on how to identify the significant elements of vernacular architecture and contextual architecture through research investigation of the building.

Project: Case Study Paper

Using the same building in project previously, we need to discover a topic and define the specific scope of a study that related to the building. We need to produce a good research title that can reflect the significant study of the building within the contextual architecture which make the investigation to be more understanding easily. After that, we decided to create a mind mapping based on the title chosen for further understanding clearly and helps in elaborating the case study through the specific points.We may also use some examples of other relevant architecture in Asia to help in supporting the discussions of the topic. We need to produce a 200 words above case study paper included abstract for the topic selected. From this project, I have understand that on how to analyse that selected topic and define clearly related to the topic chosen in S11 House.
